Two Join BSF Board of Directors

BSF is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors, Terri Burroughs of Fuquay Varina, N.C., and Charles Hooper of San Antonio, Texas.

Terri has served in BSF leadership roles since 2005, including as an area advisor 2013-18 and most recently as a member of BSF’s training team. The University of North Carolina graduate had worked in the banking industry for more than 25 years, including 15 years as a vice president.

Charles has been involved in BSF since the 1990s, including serving as a teaching leader and most recently as a children’s leader, “my favorite” role, he says. Charles is a graduate of San Angelo State and Texas Tech universities and is chief financial officer of a real estate development company.

The addition of Terri and Charles to the board comes on of the heels of the retirement of Steve Gately, who was the long-time business manager of BSF before beginning his dedicated and invaluable service to the board in 2000. Steve joins Dr. Walter Kaiser and John Amuasi as board retirees in the past year. All three were awarded director emeritus status.

BSF’s Board of Directors step in to the essential role of governance of all of Bible Study Fellowship. They have prayerfully and strategically ensured our ministry is accomplishing its mission in a way that glorifies God and serves our class members.

BSF is profoundly grateful for the service of our past and current board members, who have trusted God’s guidance in shepherding BSF since 1959. Each board member has had a strong relationship within BSF as a leader, area advisor or ministry partner. We are excited to follow the board’s leadership in casting the vision and paving the path for the ministry to further serve a global audience toward biblical engagement that transforms lives and glorifies God.
